Monel Pop Rivets (4 pack)
Monel pop rivets (also known as blind rivets) are used in marine environments for their superior strength and exceptional corrosion resistance, especially against saltwater. Typically used for dinghy and keelboat mast, boom and tiller fittings, they offer high tensile strength, withstand extreme conditions and prevent the galvanic corrosion that can occur between dissimilar metals like aluminium and stainless steel, ensuring longevity. NOT suitable for use on carbon spars.
Please note that some signs of rust may appear on the part of the mandrel that is left behind (the tiny bit left in the middle of the monel rivet). The mandrel has to be made from zinc-plated steel to allow it to snap when monel body of the rivet has been pulled up to the correct final diameter by the riveter.

- 3.3mm (for size 3.2 rivet)

- 4.9mm (for size 4.8 rivet) - using a 5.0mm drill is common
