Severne Blueline Boom
The Severne Blueline Boom is a T8 aluminium monocoque construction wave & freeride boom. Monocoque construction means the boom has a continuous tube running through the front end, rather than separate arms attached at the front. This provides greater rigidity, better load distribution, and enhanced durability compared with two-piece designs.
The Severne Blueline Boom comes in 2 sizes (in the UK*) and is designed to be robust and reliable. It has a wave profile in the smaller size and a freemove profile in the larger size.
*Please note that the Race 180-240 Blueline boom is not available in the UK.
Blueline vs Metal Booms
The main difference between the Blueline and the Metal boom is the diameter of the boom arms. The Metal boom has 26mm arms whereas the Blueline boom has 29mm arms. This makes the Metal boom more comfortable to hold. Each Blueline boom is approximately 0.2kg lighter than the equivalent size of Metal boom, despite having a 10cm larger range of adjustment to cover a broader sail range.
