The longer length and narrower width of the Above 101 helps the upper-intermediate/ advanced rider to glide easier and faster. This increases the flow of water over the foils to enable the board to foil earlier and with less effort, in less wind, possibly with a smaller wing. The narrower width means less stability when not foiling so riders will have to adapt their skills to a narrower board.
