PATENTED PLATE TECHNOLOGY
The problem with most inflatable boards is that the plate to secure the foil to is on the bottom of the board. This can result in a kind of recurring, squishy wobble (not present in hard/composite boards) between the foil and the rider’s feet on the top of the board.
Starboard solved this problem by allowing the foil to pass through a cut-out in the bottom of the board to enable it to connect directly to the comfortable, EVA-covered, tapered alu plate that the rider stands on. The gap in the board around the foil is filled with the light-weight foam plug supplied to improve water flow. So Starboard’s patented plate technology results in the impossible – an inflatable wingfoiling board with a pure and direct feedback from foil to rider and back again, with no dullness of response, no delay in feedback and no wobble! This means more control and a better foiling sensation.

NEW DELUXE LITE CONSTRUCTION
The lightest inflatable construction from Starboard is now available in the Air Foil range. It helps you take off earlier, fly faster and in lighter winds as well as conserve energy with every stroke and pump.
DIRECT FOIL RESPONSE
Patented Top Plate Technology, with just 1.5 cm between your feet and the foil, provides direct feedback and improved control. Combined with the solid standing plate, it enhances the flight experience on the inflatable foil board, eliminating any wobbly sensations.

CURVED ROCKER
The rocker is lifted in the nose and tail for easier takeoffs and more forgiving touchdowns.

Secure fit plug seals pocket where foil base mounts. Creates a flush & smooth hull for the most efficient water flow under board and around foil mast.
COMPACT OUTLINE
The Airfoil, which takes its cue from the Wingboard composite, has a balanced, wide, and short form that makes it ideal for freestyle foiling and provides good stability prior to takeoff.
ADJUSTABLE FOIL TRACK
The foil track has enough room to adjust the foil depending on the style of riding and foil type.
3D RAIL EDGE RELEASE TECH
A proprietary 3D elastomer compound that follows the contours of the board rail to create a release edge that allows the boards to fully plane yet fold and roll up. Thanks to this 3D Rail Edge, you can accelerate for the fastest and easiest take off possible on an inflatable foilboard.
WELDED RAIL TECHNOLOGY
The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable boards stronger and longer lasting. All inflatable foil boards feature welded rails, both along the board and at the foil opening.
ADJUSTABLE FOOTSTRAPS
With an 18cm distance between the inserts, you can have a wider foot strap span for better trim and control while foiling since you can micro-adjust your feet’ position.
4 different positions for the footstraps in the front and 5 different positions for the straps in the back are available. Foot straps are included with the Carbon Deluxe Lite and can be purchased separately for the Deluxe Lite.
ONE BAG FOR EVERYTHING
The bag (included) is specially designed for the Starboard Air Foil board and comes with extra pockets for foiling gear. Whilst there is enough space to fit an Air Foil board, a foil set, a pump and a FreeWing comfortably for travel, we recommend getting a Starboard XXL foil bag from us for regular trips to your local spot. The foil bag provides all the protection you need for the foils, keeps the overall board bag weight down and sits nicely on top of the board bag in your car.

NOTE ON MAST LENGTH
As the foil passes through the thickness of the board, about 8cm of the length of the mast becomes hidden inside the board. This results in slightly less mast available underneath the board.
Whilst most riders won't really notice this, it is a good idea (when buying a mast at the same time as buying this board) to add 10cm onto its length. For example, if you would have normally bought a 82cm mast for a regular hard board (as most people do), it makes sense to buy a 92cm mast to use on a Starboard Air Foil board. This means that you will still have about 82-84cm of mast length to ride with.
