Starboard Foils UCS Front Wing: Fusion (new for 2026)

The Fusion is Starboard’s medium-aspect wing collection. Medium-aspect wings are versatile, manoeuvrable and easy to control and this makes the Fusion a true all-round performer across a wide range of foiling disciplines. Looking for one wing to do everything? This is it. Freestyle, freeride, carving waves or riding wakes — the Fusion blends all these styles into one balanced and playful package.

This is Simon’s new favourite wing: he uses 725, 825 & 925. We use the 1800 & 2200 in our Wingfoil School in Surrey, UK. The most popular beginner size for a first purchase is the 1800. Popular upgrades for progressing riders are the 1400 and 1100. This is a truly awesome wing for the smoothest ride. Let's go!

Fusion 925, 825, 725, 625: Benoit Carpentier’s signature wings - for advanced wave and flatwater riders

Starting with a brand-new camber profile, Starboard obtained a huge boost in low-speed lift and stall-resistance.

The construction is solid core carbon for all 4 sizes.

They then traded some of this boost advantage to reduce wing thickness and to sharpen the leading edge. This improves glide, adds speed and enhances stability when accelerating through turns.

The result is an all-new wing shape that we love and that exceeds both the E-Type and E-Type Pro range.

Compared to E-Type and E-Type Pro:

  • Improved low speed lift
  • Improved low speed stalling resistance
  • Improved glide
  • Improved speed
  • Improved pop
  • Improved tip-slide performance

Fusion 1100, 1400 - for progressing riders

With medium aspect ratios close to 7, these two sizes are designed for all-round freeride foiling: manoeuvrable, stable and a joy to ride. Their shapes remain exactly the same as the 2025 E-Type 2. Recommended as an upgrade for those who have outgrown the 2200/1800.

The construction is solid core carbon for the 1100 and foam core carbon for the 1400.

Fusion 1800, 2200 - for beginner riders

Perfect for beginners, these two wings make learning to foil as easy as possible. We use them in our wing school where countless learners begin their foiling journey.

The construction is solid core carbon for both sizes.

Their low aspect ratio means stability and ease-of-use. They take off gradually at low speeds and they offer maximum control with incredible flight stability. Their shapes remain exactly the same as the 2025 S-Type 2.

Camber profile

This new profile design has a camber in the aft section that boosts low-speed lift, giving the new Fusion lots of low-end power and an impressive resistance to stalling at low speed.

Thinner leading edge

With this lift boost, Starboard were able to  trade some lift for wing thickness and make the leading-edge sharper. This gives the Fusion ultra-sharp flying precision, higher top speeds and more stability when accelerating through manoeuvres.

Wider wing tips for slides and spray

For advanced riders Staeboard made sure not to reduce wing tip area too much. Fusion wings slide nicely over water to throw spray.

Refined aspect ratios

With their all-new profile sections, each new Fusion size could be refined in span and aspect ratio to improve glide, efficiency and acceleration.

Tip twist

While most of the wing travels at a slight angle through water to generate lift, the wing tips gradually twist to zero degrees, reducing tip-vortex drag and letting the wing tips breach smoothly and effortlessly.
