ILCA/Laser Auto-Bailer Replacement Spring Pair
These amazing little springs last (as far as we know so far!) indefinitely. Since January 2021 we have fitted around 30 pairs at our QMSC base. They are a bit easy and a bit fiddly to fit at first and we supply them with a full-colour instruction sheet kindly supplied by Max Hunt of Southeast Sailboats.
The springs enable a very satisfying ‘snap’ when opening and closing the auto bailer and make the bailer a pleasure to use. Here is your chance to do away with the old-style rubber bands that distort and break (causing the bailer to get stuck in the open position). Basically the springs make the unit work perfectly all the time.

If you are based at QMSC in Surrey (or can drop in with your boat/auto-bailer) we can fit them for you for an additional charge of £14.25 plus VAT to include the removal, cleaning and re-fitting (with Sikaflex) of your existing auto-bailer.
